The Strike Zone

And no, I am not talking about the one between a baseball player's shoulders and knees (and I know that is not the technical definition either). I am talking about a bowling alley. Only around Cooperstown would a bowling alley be named "The Strike Zone." We'd joked about it on the way in Saturday morning, but decided that a bowling alley would fit the bill for our Saturday night enjoyment. After all, we had just seen Babe Ruth's bowling ball and bag at the Hall of Fame, so if it was good enough for him (and apparently it was, since they had pictures of him bowling in the alley), then it would be good enough for us.

Before we left, however, we made one very important change. Our shirts. That's right, we wore our matching t-shirts to the bowling alley. Embarrassing? Perhaps, but since we didn't know anyone, we didn't care. Once we got there, we didn't care even more - since the only other 2 people in the bowling alley seemed to be friends of the owner. This was a totally old-school bowling alley. Check out the picture -
Yes, that is the entirety of the bowling alley. 6 lanes. And the ball return is above-ground. Kind of looked like the ball was coming right at you! At least they still had electronic scoring (however not on a tv, just on the monitor at each lane). We had fun bowling though, and that's pretty much all that matters!

Where did you get those shirts? I love that you wore matching ones!
