I babysit from time to time, and usually come away with a funny story of some sort. Last night was certainly no exception.
The twins will be 5 next month, so they're in pre-school. This week at school is all about the letter P - so every day they take something that starts with a 'P' to show the class. Last night we were brainstorming 'P' words to think of what they could take today. One of them already took a penny, another child in class brought a Power Ranger, we found a (plastic) pie and a stuffed panda, and just when we had decided that Emma would take her new pony (My Little Pony) and Margot chose a piece of pepperoni pizza (a plastic one of course), Emma came running upstairs to tell me of the great idea she had come up with ... "I know, we can take 'pee pee' to school tomorrow because it has TWO p's - we can just 'take it in a jar' for everyone!" Ok I am not a parent, but aren't there times that you just bust up laughing when a child says something like that? I couldn't help myself last night.
Every time I babysit, I gain more and more respect for all you moms out there who do this every day! I guess you just pick your battles - it was pretty easy to see that I chose not to fight this morning since Emma got out of the car for school this morning wearing a green velvet dress and hot pink cowgirl boots ...

That's hilarious! I love kids and the things that come out of their mouths. :)
